I never say that “time flies”, because, it doesn’t. Time is time, which actually doesn’t even exist! But, we humans have these things called clocks and calendars, plans and expectations that create the feeling that time is plodding along or moving quickly, hence, “flying”. Plus, when we think or say “time is flying by” we can find ourselves feeling bad about it, sad, depressed, “old and aging too fast”, etc. Who needs more reasons to feel bad?

So, no matter how time and life feels “at the time”, our job is to manage our 24-hours-a-day better and better to enjoy the time we have while we have it.

I hope that you have great plans on your calendar to fill in your time today and every day to roll with the season, family, friends, your business or job, hobbies and/or just relaxing.

HOW TO ORGANIZE TO GET MORE TIME BACK

There are some formulas to help you feel more free about your time, including:

A) Stop writing the same lists over and over again.

B) Take your lists and consolidate them into a master list:

  • Plan ahead to schedule in the big events and important things first.
  • Then, plan in the second more important things.
  • Then, plan in the not so important stuff, but still has to get done.

It’s easy to waste time by thinking, talking and stewing about all kinds of things, many unimportant, that take up our time . . . and before we realize it another day, week, month and year are gone.

Whatever you do with your time this month, really enjoy it!

  • Be conscious of what you’re doing while your doing it so that “time doesn’t slip away.”
  • Stop doing things that waste your time and get more time back for what matters.
  • Organize so that what you do do is easier, more efficient and more productive.
